Hi guys,
I have been reading the posts of various Canadian Desies and came to know that Toronto is only suitable for looking for office jobs. Then it occured to me to know about the major industrial areas of Canada particularly having various chemicals ands petrochemical factories (large ones). For example we all know that in India such areas are near Mumbai mainly located at Thane Belapur road or between Mumbai and Pune.
Can any Desies throw some light on this information about which are the most industrialised provinces and cities in canada. Ofcourse I am not discussing just Ontario region but also other areas preferably English speaking (as a main language).
Bye all

If you rent a place initially n Toronto, then you will have access to the Kitchener - London corridor, the Oshawa area, theOakville area, Mississagua area, etc. So, if you are in petrochem, etc., go to Alberta straight. Anything else, move to Toronto. Am I giving the right advice? Also remember, in Canada (at least in accounting), recruiters will not even talk to you if you live in another province unless you are a hot shot in your field (as in really really topnotch world famous sort of person). Thats why where you settle is very important.

Fort MuMurry is the fastest growing municipality in Canada. It will have investements of nearly $20 billion. Alberta is the right province for oil and petrochemical jobs.
In Ontario, London-Kitchener is the right place. The Windsor-Quebec City corridor is highly industrialized. For forest products industries such as paper mills, saw mills, etc., BC is the right choice.
