We love Dubai & basically all it has to offer, its just that our kids would have a better life if we move there or this is what I think.
(Most of the UAE immigrants have this feel in mind for while later you will use to it...no other choice)

Basically kids in Dubai are a confused lot, for them UAE is their home & they cant identify with India & all it has to offer. We are hoping that Canada would be a place that they could call home.....
(Agree up to a little on this front but my own exp. school education is not that serious comparing to Indian schools in UAE )

other wise I am pretty much happy here and would be in India too...
(you wont be happy in india once you stay 10+ years in UAE..)

BTW please could you tell me if my electronics like TV (Ihave aSamsung LCD) and Mcrowave (Panasonic), mixie (Philips)would work there?

Better sell them there and bring some use full items as here power supply 120 watts, (uae 240 W)if you bring them you may end up buying some power converters.

hey hi moving to canada...cmanyam has already answered all your queries...well as far as my knowledge goes.....life in dubai has th best of both worlds.....west n east.....the only crisis i can think of after living in the midle east for the past 25 years or so is the identity crisis.....n also i persoanlly feel if u n ur husband r finncially at better job positions then don understand the need 2 move to CA coz newaz u wud send ur kids from dubai n also there r all these universities there too......life in CA is domestically v v tough as u don hav n xtra pair of hands hands 2 help u around......
im not discouraging u...but since u hav made up ur mind.....welcome aboard the CAFE (canadian fear)......uhave made up ur mind hang in ther im sure u wil sail thru smoothly......im also planning 2 move sumtime in may next yr...do call me or send me an email........tc

The basic ? still i need to hear from MTC is what are the job prospects.
I was not aware of the profession they both belongs.
The job prospects make lot of diffrence in once decission in immigration.
If you are how ever rich and sound, if you dont have a regular job in canada you are zero before you reach your PR card renewal.
Kep in mind that Kids education is not only main objective, we wants to explore outside UAE after 10+ years stay in UAE is the main issue.
which you will accept once you start living in canada for a 6 months time.

Hi to all...

Im a banker basically at AVP level & my hubby head of sales in an MNC. I guess u can now understand the level of apprehension we have at moving there.
Yes financially we are sound but .....ok gotta confess, hubby is the one anxious to move. Better future for the kiddos is what he says ...Also we applied for this when we were not doing so good and of course after 10 years we did settle down.
I agree that Dubai provides best of both cultures & the money is good and tax free too.
Maybe I sound confused but hubby is clear he wants to move as it is better in the long run & ok I know Im gonna draw a lot of flak from the other members but the basic idea so far is to get a passport and come back to Dubai or anywhere else in the ME. Later when the kids grow they can choose to settle anywhere in the world on the basis of their pp

So thats that
