Wonder, how accurate or reliable this data is, but still something for a prospective immigrant to look at, before making a decision on migrating to Canada.
Nothing new, there are also fewer jobs for Canadian university graduates.

OK. The gist of the post is that immigrants who come here with high hopes should be able to face the worst. Most of the immigrants have a well paying job in their home countries which they have to leave and start from scratch. Also, many people come here with their families which means pressure is on from day 1 to put food on their table. Hence, career becomes a secondary focus.
The messageboard is full of people asking questions about employment opportunities for new immigrants, and this news item was directed more towards such people rather than Canadian university graduates who are already in Canada and at least have some moral or financial support.
It's natural.
Why would they give a job to an immigrant when an equally qualified native can fill the place?

The reason is that Canada immigration does not show true picture to the outside world. If true picture is shown then people will stop migrating which will be a financial loss to the govt.
Here is the problem.
"India has very good masons, carpenters but they are not educated and cannot qualify for immigration. Also there are very good scientists, engineers in India but they won't get job here"
