Closing was fantastic! Just like the opening or even better. Whoever was in charge of opening and closing ceremony pulled it off great. Was it the Indian Idol winner Sriram on the stage with others?

Big thumbs up and cheers for every hard working soldier who made this a huge success despite so much of negativity.
A big slap on the face of naysayers. (remember some of the comments that they felt ashamed for being Indian, it will be a total disaster, etc)

Here are some things to note which are kind of shame.
--Except for opening and closing ceremony the overall attendance/viewership was minor to none. It felt as if whole india (forget the foreigners) gave up on games. It was such a world class facility and a sort of one time event. There are around 22 Mil people live in n around Delhi and not a few of them had time to attend games? What a shame.
It was such a great moment for India to get on second place of medal list and Big congratulations to all Indian atheletes but whole freaking media was focused on routine Cricket (good achievement there but why ignore CWG).
- Cricketers, Media, Bollywood jokers they could have shown a little zeal towards the game. Even if one of them showed up at the venue, it would have gotten a big boost in viewership.
- Cricketers played in Mohali, on the way to Benglore could spare only a few hours for CWG. But I guess all of them were busy with spilling champaign and self glory.
- Bollywood jokers..They are attending each and every stupid show to promote each n every stupid movie, but again did not have heart/courtsey to attend single wrestling game (what a performance by Geeta to keep aussie down).
It was a shame that Indian population and people around Delhi gave up on games no matter what execuses they will come up with .
Again hip hip hurray for every little worker who put this together and huge congratulations to atheletes.
I guess may be due to tight security screening, viewers chose to watch on TV.

People wanted to go but there was so much confusion on availability of tickets . Online facility was not there, tickets at stadiums ( not available ) sold to black marketers by the organisers ( was a big news - for what god knows) and most of us always look forward for a free pass ......or jugaad .
It was a big success. But Indian players should do more hard work for next Asian games. Also they should not forget that almost 25 top players from Aus,England and other countries did not participate so their medal count may not reflect the true success.
But anyway the overall performance of Indian players was very very good compared to previous years.
I am only disappointed by the men's Hockey final. This reminded me the old golden days of hockey when players like "Dhyan Chand" and "Pirthipal Singh" made India pride. "Dhyan Chand" who was once offered a much higher position by "Adolf Hitler" but he politely declined and opted to play for India.
