Worst...Camera...Ever! | October 06,2010

My last few cameras have been Canon's but I will be looking into other brands with my next purchase. It was intended to replace a Canon SD 850IS that I'd had for a couple years. That camera was only an 8.0 MP but it took far better pictures, had better shot to shot times and was built with higher quality materials. DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA!!!

Trying to replace my SD800IS. with the SD1300IS.
First one had problems with the video, returned it. Second one, colors seemed off, and the video seemed dark. Returned it. Third one.. still the same issues. So I'm returning it too. I'll keep using my 3 year old camera since it takes better pictures and video then this cheapie camera.

Completely agree with the other review. This camera has a nice appealing design, picture quality is very bad. Some shots may be blurry or very dark while others okay. My Sony Cybershot 7.1 mgpx camera still takes better pictures.
There are many brands in market can fit in your range. I ahve used Fuji, Sony, and Kodak. I would suggest according to my opinion just buy Kodak brand. It is cheaper and durable, keep in mind go for highr Mega Pixels like 12.1 or 14.1 higher and never ever try to touch lense by finger to clean dust. Other thing keep in mind that buy a camera with built in rechargeble battery. I have noticed on-off Sony and Kodak 12 to 14 MP on sale around $100 just shop around or wait for SALE.
DON't buy very advanced like SLR type expensive camera because they are expensive and too complecate to use for ordinary people. Since we are not professional photographer we need simple camera with basic required functions. (Higher pixels gives more clear picture)
