Any suggestions what is the diffrence between the above mentioned and a conventional camcorder,what limitations are there with these..?
Why buy Digital and camcorder seperatly if this works well in both scnerios Any experiences.

On a digital camera you will be limited to short duration videos. If you have a home function (child birthdays, etc) or go out on a trip it is easier to record and store memories on a camcorder. You can not only store longer duration recordings, but you can catalogue them separately.

On a camcorder you have various options available as well: Hi-8 and MiniDV are the ones currently most popular. You can download onto VHS tapes and send to family back home for enjoying.
