We are Canadian PR and travelling to India for the first time after coming to Canada. What options we have in terms of flight/routes? We want to avoid going via US to avoid applying for transit VISA. We also have a one year old baby who will be travelling for the first time on flight.
Thanks
Anywhere through Europe should be ok (except for the current weather related delays all across Europe).
London, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Zurich, Brussels, etc. are fine for Canadian PRs holding a PR Card and an Indian passport.

I think it is advisable not to travel trough EUROPE routes these days. There was volcano 5 months back and now heavy snow. Hundreds of delays and cancellations. Specially if you travel with infant and family, you must consider peace of mind. Emirates, Etihad, and Turkish Air could be options.
**Keep secondary ID handy such as OHIP card, DRV licence, child's birth cert. and work address. When you return, in case, you may be asked to show at the security check point at any airport.

Meeting people is easy. Having meaningful connections is the hard part.
Thank you very much Pratickm and HMARAHI for your valuable suggestions.
We live in Halifax and our prefrence would be to fly direct from Halifax instead of going to Toronto and then crossing the Atantic.
Thanks
I'd guess most flights out of Halifax would layover somewhere in Europe.
So you are ok from a visa/transit perspective.
Weather and flying conditions over Europe are a different matter.
Regardless, avoid US.
It might be better to transit through the middle east (Abu Dhabi, Dubai) or the mediterranean (Ankara, Milan, Cairo, etc.) instead of the US.
