If you are looking for 4 cylinder then better go for RAV or CRV than highlander.
Why? The 4 cylinder highlander has enough power - and especially for the family size the OP is having. Also, better fuel economy than its 6cylinder version. This highlander is good for you if you are looking for more space (as compared to the RAV4 or CRV) and if the Van is too big for you.
Again - it depends on what you want.

What about the completely revamped 2011 dodge journey
I recently tested the 2011 toyota highlander four cylinder and I agree it has sufficient power, unless you want to beat all cars to the lights you dont need a v6, can any one please let me know how much they paid for the four cyclinder highlander
Have any one used car cost reports for negotiation?
How does it work,do dealers actually accept it?
Please share your thoughts

I bought it in the US. I paid $29,500 for a 4 cylinder Highlander (2011) with the tech package and tow package included. This price includes all taxes and the DMV registration fee for the first year.
