Hi all CD's,

Last almost 7 months we are tolareting this stupidity of this teacher. We contacted other parents for the same class and they have a same issue with teacher as well.

when we talked with other parents and we feel that they are little bit afraid and told us, what we can do?? leave as it is, it is almost end of term, blaahh...blahhh..

One parents told me if teacher will come to know that we did complaint against her than he will give less grade or less mark on final term, b'cos this term is EQA year.

Here is story.......

My son is in grade 3 and he is doing well in study, every term he is getting A or A+, his teacher is so much arrogant, most of the time negative approach, never appricate any kind of good work done by kids in class, etc..

this is the point we found after we talked with other parents and kids....

1. she never signed in agenda/journal

2. she always give home work but 90% never checked by her always we found no sign no tick mark no comments on home work pages.

3. we asked the other kids and my son, most of time in class she is always on i-phone and doing messages all the time, If kids go and ask for something than she reply go and do this first and later i will explain to you.

4. whenever kids asking question in class always say " Do not ask any question now and instructed all the kids ask questions after finish the class. ( most of the time after class kids forget what was the question )

I googled it but did not find particular website where we can complaint about teacher.

My and other parents concern is whatever happen with our kids ok but if we are not stopping her than may she will do samething again with next batch.

Do anyone know the process or some specific site where we can do the complaint?

If I were in your situation I would request a meeting with the teacher and put forward my concerns. If i found her unreceptive I would take up the matter with the principal.

What is the name of the School ?

Take up the matter in school council meeting whereby school counsellor, Principal and community wrokers also attend this meeting.

Even if you go to the TDSB board directly, the matter will go to principal and she will investigate the same. My advice to you is to write a letter addressed to Principal and copy to the teacher and make sure all the parents sign the letter before submitting the same.

If matter doesn't resolve here, then write similar letter to board and submit a copy to principal. make sure all parents sign the letter.

You can talk to school teacher.I had a similar issue and I talk to teacher face to face.Don't worry about grades this is not India and EQAO is not assesed by a local school teacher.It is a centralized assessment , also EQAO has nothing to do with students grade it is for the evaluation of entire education system.
If you can not get coperate from the teacher then you can file a complain through website of ontario college of teachers. http://www.oct.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK, it is a licencing and regulating office for tecahers in Ontario.You can find all about your teacher through that website.click on "Find a teacher" and write your teacher's last name and you will get her information.
The behaviour you describe of the teacher is not acceptable.This has a negative effect on kid's mind so someone has to stand up.Do not affraid go ahead and talked to her.

U are worried about the grades of a 3rd std kid..

Points 1 and 2 i dont think u should complain about, they make u sound like u are out to get vengeance

Points 3 and 4 may be valid grounds to complain.
