Has anybody tried successfully to replace their dishwasher? Lowe`s is charging an exorbitant amount, and as per a mechanic who came to repair my dishwasher in past, hooking up a new dishwasher is an easy task.
Leon`s won`t do the hookup because of insurance reasons. I called Sears on their 1-800 number, but the guy at other end did not have any information regarding installation.
there are countless videos on youtube on how to hookup dishwasher.
I hooked up mine on my own, it is pretty easy.

Since you are just replacing the dishwasher from old to new, all you need to do is detach the existing connections and re-attach them to the new one.
IN principle there are only 3 connections : Water Supply, water drain and the electrical.
Some of the newer model machines have a new style supply connection - you might need to buy a reducing elbow from Homedepot or any plumbing shop.
If you can schedule it over the weekend, I can come and do it with you.
Let me know.
