YEs , things are back to normal.

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
I think BL was not suggesting that because they were spoken a long time back they are meaningless now....But if he did then he could just be right.
I am one who obviously doesnt think I need an entity like GOD or a BOOK to tell me whats right and wrong.
When someone does good (or bad) to me I can feel it immediately and I hope when I do the same The other person feels the same. I dont go and find out if it is a Correct or Moral thing to do.. Instinctively I feel it.
I know Its nok ok to prey on other peoples wives, not to help a person in need when you can, not to break a promise, not to enslave somebody etc.... Just because I know it will emotionally or physically hurt them because I know it from experience and not because its written somewhere.
Likewise, todays world has changed a lot from the time Moses parted the Red sea, so has the way people think.
Things are not absolute. they can change and they do change.
2/100 x 1.

Agree with Mercury...and people who insist that there is only one truth(god) for every individual may just be running the same risk as someone saying that someone elses beliefs are misplaced(or wrong or bad). Each of us gravitate to our own version of the truth(god)...wonder if we will ever reach the maturity to accept that everyones interpretation of GOD is different.
p.s: Just want to point out that buddhists(atleast most of them...except for, probably the Mahayana sect) do not believe in a GOD as such...so much so that it is considered(by some) an agnostic religion.
Anyways..

Now my question is as follows :-
Hindus, to some extent Buddhists are what you would say "idolators".. While Buddhists believe in the oneness of Buddha (the Lord), Hindus have various beliefs (e.g., Vaishnavites, Shaivites, Hare Krishna, blah blah...330 million gods and goddesses).. So Ppl who do not believe in monoetheism are supposed to be condemned ?

BL mentioned in that post that "these words were spoken hundreds of years back". Are you trying to suggest that they are no longer valid? If yes, I would just like to mention that these words (Holy Qur'an) are words of GOD and are very much valid in this century and future centuries till the end of time on this earth.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Are you there?
Dear BL,
Thanks for the clarification. I should have taken more care and read the whole statement before jumping to query you – apologies.
All,
Few years ago I had a discussion with an Arab gentleman who suggested that Ram and Krishna were also Prophets of God and they received revelations from HIM. He was referring to an article that appeared in the national Saudi newspaper – ‘Arab News’ which talked about Ram and Krishna being Prophets. It also said that Hindu God Bhramma is no different than Prophet Abraham – notice the similar sounding names.
Remember, GOD is most gracious and most merciful. HE will not put the believer in hell for petty mistakes – HE is oft forgiving.
“5: 70. Surely those who believed, and the Jews, and the Sabians, and the Christians - whoso believes in ALLAH and the Last Day and does good deeds, on them shall come no fear, nor shall they grieve.”
“4:125. But whoso does good works, whether male or female, and he or she is a believer, such shall enter heaven, and shall not be wronged even as much as the little hollow in the back of a date-stone.”
Please note that being a “believer” is a very important condition. Nothing is complicated. There is no playing with our fear or emotions or insecurities. Having common sense and being alert to avoid doing sin is a very good quality. However, it is very easy to sin – just being alert does not help. In addition to being pious, we have to recognise who created us, for what purpose and where we are going after end of this short life.
Now it seems my task is to convince many of you that the Holy Books are indeed the Words of God. Coming soon!
DIA
I still feel there are many contradictions and will continue to feel that way.
