Jake... of cos I am waiting to go back to MY country cos I know thats where the future of my kids are..unlike some gentlemen here who think that a "foreign" country is better for their kids (the usual excuse.. I-came-to-canada-for-a-better-future-for-my-kids.. attitude)..

I did not do anything "good" for my country...but on the same vein I did not indulge in something "bad" i.e., subtle yet firm proselythsing..the hallmark of the Missionaries !
Mother Teresa was first a Missionary and then she was a social worker.. I wish it was the other way around ! As for the west recognizing her, well thats the very same reason why the UK press think the BJP is racist.. So I dont read too much into it !
The "real" Indians have been honoured and I am happy for that (significantly another one from west bengal...Gurudev Tagore) !

I think Jake you want to occupy the moral high ground here vis-a-vis others when it comes to accomodating others.. If thats what you desire then I dont think I will indulge in an arguement with you over this fact. But My prejudices against the folks I mentioned in my previous post still stands. Keeping such folks at bay surely can make the world a better place.
If you think I am trying to mirror the prejudices of Jihadis then I can only smile at you
If you think that I wish to molest kids like those (HOLY ) Catholic bishops then I again smile at you
If you think that I will go and point a revolver at my head when my "leader" Sonia Gandhi "sacrifices" the PM post, then I laff at you
As for the others.. if you care to think objectively, pls do so with an open mind

I dont know anything abt the socio-religious structure here.. I guess you should be a better person to judge that. What I do know is what I read in the news media.

What are we doing in Canada/USA/Britain/Aus/NZ? Is our PM or President
Indian? What are we doing here? We must return back to India right away in
the next flight and participate in the election.

Too many Indians lost their lives to drive British out of India. And look
what we did! Unfortunately, most of us are sitting in "gora-land" and
talking about patriotism!!

We are highly educated and on the very first opportunity to leave India we
rushed out!!! We left our poor Indians (and uneducated) to run the country
and choose its new leader.

If any of the western coutries make the immigration rules easy, I bet there
will be longer that 100km line-up in India. Why??? How many of our
relatives/friends are ready to go out of India at the drop of a hat...

I feel Sonia is better than most of us. She gave up Italian citizenship and
took up Indian citizenship even after losing her beloved husband and
mother-in-law... We are ready to become Canadian or American or British
right now!!!

Can we follow Gandhiji's example? He left South Africa and came to India to
fight against British.

We are making a mockery of the sacrifices made by shaheeds (freedom
fighters) by choosing to leave India.

Sonia did not become an Indian Citizen till 1983!
She was sequestered in Italy when the 1971 war was on, with Rajiv !! *ahem*ahem*
Has Sonia renounced her Italian Citizenshop ? I can direct the Congress croonies to some well informed articles that state otherwise...which is kinda strange !
She can get voting rights, even aspire to be a MP and have the brazen authority to become a PM..whereas hum jaise Tucch log...Matdaan bhi nahi kar sakte hain...
