Anyone got a chance to see this documentry yesterday?
"Shame Shame Shame!!!" to all those who take and give dowries.

I watched the documentry in between flipping channels. I missed the part in which boy gets divorce from girl still in punjab by applying at Vancouver court and the Girl is unaware of it. How did that happen. Some sympathetic laws .............of Vancouver ...................
Weird judgement similar to AI flight bombing case..........

I saw it last night and felt ashamed. What is with these Punjabis? Politicians like BS Ramoowalia are trying to politicize the issue. Shame on us.

Special Requests: Please call me after 5:30 because I am self-employed and my employer does not know I am looking for another job
This is a harsh reality that we all are ashamed and disgusted by.
This problem is bourne by Pakistanis also ..... it is most common among lower or middle class families ... where parents aspiring to find a better environment for their daughters succumb to overlooking a lot of aspects of a would be groom looking for a bride .
Everything said and done ..... this remains a shamefull state of affairs.

When the Axe entered the forest ... the trees cried out ..... It is the Handle that is one of us.

This is so disgusting. Govts of different countries should co-ordinate to take care of such people.
The latest movie 'Bride and prejudice' is actually based on this thought amongst Indians who want to get their daughters married to NRIs somehow or the other.
Able people always take advantage of the weaker ones - whether it be such marriages, jobs, politics, fund raisers etc!!!
