Because of
- HST
- Health premium tax
- Hydro increase
- Pharmacy
Allowed auto insurance companies like TD to hike 27% of insur.

++1.
Definitely big 'NO' to Mcguinty this time.
He has proved himself as a real taxman and he was quite unsuccessful to create jobs or healthy environment for the businesses. However, he is a smart politician to successfully market his policies and repair damage in last couple of weeks as he was able to recover his marks in latest poll.
It's tough to decide between NDP and PC. I think this time NDP will have to suffer a lot due to the loss of Jack Layton.

Liberals under Mcginty have been very very bad.. HST has been such a money grab.. no one knows where the money has gone..

One of my friends lives in a Condo.. his monthly maintainence has gone up by 40$..thats 480$ per year..

Some of the social programs like immigrant tax Waiver make no sense..

PC has also had a chequered past, 407 was privatized under PC.
Tolls paid on 407 is a grim reminder and is responsible for gridlock on 401 and QEW..

Still in this economy less tax on individuals is better than more tax.. Hence my vote goes to PC..

i don't believe i have said anything in this thread that shows advertising or influence peddling.
i have however conveyed my disagreement and disgust with some of the politices of the current administration but that's not advertising.
as is clear from some of the other responses I am not the only one. there are many others that are equally opposed to these policies.

due regards.

Which is what the forum is for so its all good. It is only advertising if you're in some way affliated to a party and trying to sway opinions.

Thanks for the clarification.

since you asked :) here is my vote and reasons:
I plan to vote for the PC party candidate.
my reasons are many:

total and complete incompetence of the current government in managing the affairs of the province.
rampant corruption (such as e-health scandal etc.)
pandering to the unions and other special interest groups.
vote grabbing gimmicks such as under the table deals with the unions
shameful bailouts to large corporations such as auto companies, Magna from our hard earned tax money
huge increases in taxes such as health premium, eco fee, HST
deeply flawed and punitive energy policy including substantially higher hydro rates
complete failure to develop other areas of ontario esp. northern ontario
complete neglect of indigenious populations and mishandling of the needs and sensitivities of the striking native people
colossal waste of public money in useless projects and bridges to nowhere

I can go on and on but i can't think of even one ruddy reason to vote for this government

among the PC and the NDP parties, my vote goes to PC because:
promise to cut HST from hydro and heating
better alignment and cooperation with the federal government, being led by the conservative party
promise to stop pouring huge amounts of money into useless public transit projects
scrapping the FIT program and other wasteful green energy projects
scrapping the deal with south korea on building solar and wind infrastructure
income sharing for couples and overall lower taxes for families

many other smaller reasons but these were the main ones.

bring on Oct 6th

So you care more about indigenious and native people than immigrants? Conservative has not done anything encouraging on immigration front, may slowly phase out parent immigration on 10 year scale, being Federal ruler.

Also why FIT & clean energy initiatives & money in public transit system is a waste?

I bet if Tim H can do this. Do you think Samsung will allow a change in government to harm their interest. McGuinty made same promises for ETR 407 but the contract was so tight that he and his sucessors can not do anything for next 87 years. (12 years already gone out of 99 years lease).

"income sharing for couples and overall lower taxes for families"

I think Tories said they will give it after the balanced budget in 2014. Correct me if I am wrong.

I read somewhere that they will not be able to get it balanced by 2014 because of global conditions.
