True - sometimes even supervisors don't help, however you need to go up the hierarchy when things don't work. In my case, the agent I was dealing with spoke once with me (found her rather rude) and then after that did not bother calling me again or returning my calls to follow up.

After a couple of weeks of this, I got fed up, called the supervisor and gave her a piece of my mind. My complaint was resolved in two days. Definitely worth a shot.

Also agree that the premiums we pay in the GTA here are scandalous. Not much we can do, but still pretty hard to swallow this jagged little pill at every renewal.

Warren buffet made most of his money owning insurance and reinsurance companies..

Insurance companies make profit no matter what.. if they are losing money one year they simply raise the rates to make up for the loss..


That coupled with bad drivers, high population and bad driving conditions in GTA makes for perfect conditions to raise rates..

My rate went up by 50$ per months without a single ticket or at fault claim after 2 years of being with the same company.. i had one not at fault claim in the 2nd month i started with the insurance company.. May be finally that claim caught up in their files

Wasnt getting any better quotes so i just stuck with them figuring my rate was probably too low to begin with..
