Just a update:
Canadian hospitals will discharge you 24 hours after you deliver.
If it is C-Section, the hospitals may staple you and send you home after 3 days, you will come back after 4 days to have the staple removed.
So what I am trying to say is that it is not an easy process that a non white woman (White women are more stronger - both physically and mentally) can go through.

So I would suggest that you immediately get a maid / helper to help with you during the initial time. Besides you have your own other older children to take care of too.

2 cents from my side.

Peace

I had my two sons abroad.... All alone.... Without any help.... It's nothing much..... Unless you have a c-section.......

If you are unable to arrange for a tiffin/food delivery..... And there is still some time left for your delivery.... Then I would suggest the following....

Each day prepare any one dish/sabzi/meat.....make it in a large cooker or utensil..... Then freeze it in single meal for full family portions in large ziplock bags..... Store them neatly and systematically..... Try and make atleast 30-40 portions..... Which you should be able to do inabout a week or 10 days.....

Do not utilize the a above till you actually go for your delivery....This will suffice for atleast 20-30 days after your delivery..... Which should give you sufficient recovery time...

Stock up on ready to eat foods to add to your already prepared meals and roti..... And lots of healthy / filling snacks for the kids.....Make sure there is a good stock of eggs/butter/jam/bread.... Which help keep little tummies full.....

Take a paper and pen and write down each and every dish/item each of your kids like.... So that you can include it in your every day menu so that you won't be stressed about hungry kids.....

Prepare a daily timetable based on the food you have prepared/ ready to eat food..... Including tiffin instructions for your hubby...... If ur kids are school going, then your hubby will go crazy getting them ready for school and their tiffins.... Going to wrk..... Making everything easily available/handy for you.....

So take away the guessing..... Write down each day's task along with menu including items like laundry....gym days.... Etc...

While it is a difficult time.... It's not impossible with team work.....If you plan well in advance..... I hope this helps.... Good luck....:)
