My wife is coming to canada on spousal visa. In fact she is already in transit. she is bringing some jewellry with her. She has receipts for some but not all. And the only pictures of the jewellry she has is in digital format in her laptop where she is wearing it at occassions. Do you think she will have problem or have to pay duties on it?
Like I said she is in transit and will land in 13 hrs from now. So a quick rply would help a lot.
Thanks
If this is her first landing, no problem, she can bring in as much jewelry as she wants.
On a side note, any particular reason why you waiting till the last minute to post this and then in a rush to seek a response

If declared, There will not be any problem as first time landing, hope she made the list of items she is carrying in the baggage. All goes duty free and you be tension free.
If she is wearing it all , no need to even declare.
to bring more, declare in goods to follow list during landing and bring duty free later. I hope the suggestion is valid till now as SS also said you are bit late.
Wish you happy married life !
on lighter note, mr DJ , Now you got to stop night clubbing and farting around the country side ! Everything is going to be homely ;-) !
