Dear All,

My son who is 4 yrs old..his indian passport was getting expired so I renewed his indian passport.

In his old indian passport he has 10 yrs multiple entry US visa which is valid...

My question is how I am gonna transfer the US visa from his old passport to new passport and what will be the procedure...has anyone come across this issue?

Are you sure I dont have to get the US Visa stamped on my son's new passport?

What I was thinking is since the old passport is cancelled so the US visa in the old passport is also cancelled...

Recently we have visited US with US visa stamp on expired Indian passport. We were carrying both the passport (new and expired) and that is the requirement. No issue at border.

Passport Renewal and Visa is two distinct event. If they were related, than US authorities would have issued visa with maximum validity till passport expiry date.
