Hello,
LTE was first proposed by NTT DoCoMo of Japan in 2004, LTE is a standard for wireless data communications technology and an evolution of the GSM/UMTS standards. PLEASE NOTE...that The LTE wireless interface is INCOMPATIBLE with 2G and 3G networks, so that it must be operated on a separate wireless spectrum. Currently North America and a few other countries are moving forward into the LTE Spectrum. India is also one of them.

Any phone on LTE will work on LTE all over. Please make sure from the makers of the phone prior to purchase. If you have purchased one and find that it does not comply, please try to dispose it off there. Then buy one here. The purchase prices are about the same. There were some rumors of a few phones that did not work initially here in Canada. That is why I am dropping a cautionary word here.
There are Quad Bands on 3G and 4G networks that still are functioning here in Canada. If yours is one such instrument, and is not locked into one of the Indian Service Provider, you can proceed to activate it here.
The range is from $20-40. You can do the search to find them.

You will have to find one of them where ever you are moving to or where the phone will be used.
