Hoax message.
They must have seen India's mission to MARS at 1/10 th their cost..ha ha.
Why does this guy want to work for NASA and US , if he thinks his Indian citizen is so important.
Why not work for ISRO in India ?
You know you are an Indian , when you sing the praises of your home country and its citizenship , but don't want to live or work there..ha ha..this guy with his false sense of patriotism is nothing more but an hypocrute.
There are no free lunches, exceptions are not made without motives. He will land up signing length of documents in lieu and contractual obligations for years to come, being not a US citizen and will meet difficulties in building his career in NASA. Peer pressure and frustrations will change his thought in future, I see him eventually getting the US citizen.
Instead of foreign countries making exceptions likes this, India should step forward and allow dual citizenship to such a talent. It will prevent brain drain and bring home the technology and trained professionals.
Let's not assume the negative and hope he is able to gain sufficient knowledge and expertise to lead dynamic new developments at ISRO in future.
The fact that he forced NASA to bend their HR policies to accommodate him and his courage to stand his ground in such tempting situation needs to be applauded. Whatever happens in future, he has won a small battle here.

I agree with that ... People should not ask why LN Mittal does not work in India but even when doing business abroad and where other countries would be more than willing to offer him citizenship and beyond ... he still maintains an Indian citizenship ...
Hypocrisy , I don;t think so .

Fido.
It seems to be a mixture of true and made up story. Apart from forum and Facebook write ups, there is a no credible published material available that NASA made any kind of exception.
