That is extremely dumb post sister HW36. I can take out some jokes posted by you earlier which did exactly what you mentioned in your post. So keep your hypocraziness under check and wear some dignity.

Humor is a tough subject for some of you, I understand that fully. Its better you avoid 'have fun' section.

HW36 ~ 3 things .

a. Your point is well taken not because of the comparisons but apparently it has hurt you / offended you to an extent to bring out such comparisons. The intent ( I believe ) never was to hurt or offend anyone and all CDs (including the ones we have a war of words with ) are respected and so are their feelings .... Or perhaps it might not have been realized - the extent of hurt or offense caused to others . ..... Except for the 2-3 recent crude ones , I felt the others as harmless adult fun perhaps not empathizing with all ..

b. However I don't think the comparison you have brought out is an appropriate. Every relationship is unique and you do not look for mothers in girl friends or vice versa .... All the more so a joke is a joke and not to be compared to anything ...living or dead . Similarly for a movie or a book - we know it is fiction.

c. If you were to apply the same logic as a above (not exactly but similarly by a slightly far cry ) when 8-10 members ask you to do away with something and you continue obstinately citing that 5-10 members are nothing as compared to 50K cd members ... imagine how would you feel if some one else also runs on the same pattern now dis regarding your hurt or disappointment ... also when you would have called all Pakistanis rapists ...how would have some Pakistanis reading that post felt ?

I can think of some alternates to resolve this . Of course the mods will decide but we can provide some options and also self moderate if some one is getting genuinely hurt or offended ...

In addition to prohibition of explicit reference to genitals / private parts.

a. Like Canadian Sakhi ... Have a 'For Men' section where men can discuss things / jokes common to them .

b. The Report Abuse feature - if a post has more than 5 abuses , it may be automatically deleted or a high priority for the moderator to check .

c. Do away with the naughty jokes altogether , even the mild ones .. ( this might be an extreme as it would make the forum very dry )

d. Carry an explicit warning and discretion before the more naughty jokes advising of viewer discretion... just like they do on TV shows ...

When a joke like this is posted and since it does not meet the standards of publishing anywhere on the internet, it should get removed immediately.

This joke was not written by me nor coined by me. I read it and I also enjoyed it. They asked for my opinion here. I expressed it truthfully. Is there any objection from anyone questioning my enjoyment of the a good joke.

I don't go about reproducing it anywhere else, because it is not a classic material that meets the standards called for posting to any website. But it is on CD website and we all are here trying to exchange some information that is worthy of note. Some experiences that provide us help, just in time to avoid a few of the pitfalls. It does not help everyone, it is there for us to come back and retrieve in case a need arises.

Having seen it here does not make it gospel truth. We explore it further and verify if it is true. If we find it NOT very helpful, then we don't use it. In our mind we delete it. But it still stays here on CD website.

So, some of the posts are really good and we enjoy reading them. They help us and it enhances our experience and also our day to day life, how trivial it may be. Some look for it, even though the material does not meet the standards. I will just stop there for a moment.

I go to a website called vahrehvah.com and see a Chef cook some recipes with Moruga chillies or Bhoot jJlokia peppers. I enjoy seeing the show and also the taste that particular Chef has in his preparations. I enjoy such cooking and one of these days might try a hand at it. I get to see it first hand and so enjoy it. That is enjoyment for me and I don't think anyone would object to my being happy with a show like it. I will drop in here and will express to others about a chef who really helps others in their cooking. That is my nature and I hope who so ever enjoys my posts will drop in read them and also get to know. I don't expect everyone to drop in and say thanks.

Just seeing the number of hits is enough for me. Like wise when you see the number of hits on any post, people will get to know how popular the posts are and with that in view, I look for posts from that individual most of the time.

But no one has done such a survey like this in detail and I not only see the objection to the joke, I also see the objections being raised upon some one enjoying it.

Having said all of this, I am not going to post the curriculum the kids are made to face in Grade Three here in Ontario, on the type of educational course our kids are being made to go through and understand in a pictorial format, lest you all might get to enjoy it a little too soon, before it hits the fan....

Here on this CD you have a choice. But the poor kids Mmmmm. That is for another day.
