I was only checking the validity of the “Have Fun” section and did not really vote yes or no and you can move me to neutral. If CD is a site created for new desi immigrants to settle in Canada and the site revolves around it, not sure how this “Have Fun” is helping this cause. Either it will end up debating as racial for Santa/ Banta jokes or this way. If Have fun is allowed, then everything under it should be ok simply because it is supposed to be for fun only.
Just before I leave for the day, let me give you my take.
Yes. CD is created for helping Desi immigrants. No doubt about it.
The side subjects are India, Have fun, general, life, USA etc.. All these are loosely connected to the main aim of helping people settle in Canada.
While, I am sure that all types of humor is allowed, one is supposed not to use crude , vulgar , sexually suggestive, violence here. It defeats the whole purpose of the forum. In the same way, any reference to a particular religion / sect may also be stopped.

How do you come up with this stuff? Who's talking about "landslide" and "clandestine" etc etc. You need to find better ways of stoking that massive ego of yours than CD. I was simply looking to see where members stand so that a consistent policy can be designed. Against your best efforts, many opinions have been expressed and its fine both ways. Really happy to see various perspectives and opinions. You need to get off that horse, this is not some sort of an epic battle here

Valid points. The section wasn't really intended for jokes alone. It could constitute any lightweight stuff that does not really have any intent on organizing any community input or action. But just because it exists does not mean that all content should be allowed. Similar to there being a photo upload section, does not mean all pictures are valid. It does need to adhere to some norms/context of the forum. With the various input, I think we'll land on an approach that works.

Suggestion : Let's put 18+ or Adult joke in subject for every vulgar joke
- PROBLEM SOLVE - people who has problem with vulgarity can just avoid that joke ...
