Hey guys,
Need some advice regarding OCI. I will be 50 years old on August 11 2016.
So obviously, I will have to get a new OCI. But I have already booked my tickets
for Sept.7 to go to India, because there was a sale.
I'm not sure, if I should renew my OCI now ..... I don't trust them to do it in less than a
month.
So, shall I get a Tourist visa now & get OCI renewed after my vacation,
or what are my options.
You still have 100 days. Take photocopies of all of the documents and retain them for starters.
Then, go and get the same done. Please show them the Confirmed tickets and make a request for your OCI renewal. You should have it well before your travel date. It could be a nail biting moment. Discuss with the BLS group.
FH.
You should allow 3 months for OCI renewal, sometimes it gets done in 2 months. Less than that, it might be a stretch. You agree with FH you should discuss this with BLS. If they insist you have to be 50 before renewal, ask them for options.
