There is big grey area about working for sponsored employer as soon as obtaining the green card. But mostly lawyers advice to work for employer for atleast 6 months after green card and keep paystub/W2 till US citizenship.

That dude came to India to get married, not sure how much time it will take , planned well to get into high paying job, spent paid holidays, will be back soon to Sam uncle, happily married and gay with his newly wed!!
Talking about work ethics, my own funda of work ethics is now biting dust, as I never left any project in-between, took care of all closings before shifting if ever but my company recently laid off two of my colleagues as soon as they completed their project, without even giving them a notice. Means company knew their fate well in advance and was waiting for them to complete the work and boom- good- bye god-speed. I am shitting bricks since my project is ending end of June, will survive the onslaught only if there is next project available. Should I show ethics and wait till June end OR should I start exploring right away and jump at first opportunity stopping at me? its a murky freaking world ! isnt it ?
I no more blame that dude !

I am a Gents and not a Ladies.
Food for thought : May be your colleague ALSO waste his time on CD during off hours and came to know your ill intensions before hand and smartly moved out from the place having ppl like yourself .

The guy what the OP has been all about has resigned and his last day is the end of this month.
When I asked him face to face as to how he can ditch a project midway, he bluntly told me that he is resigning as per the terms of his contract and that he does not care.
He has given some BS personal reasons for resigning but I suspect that his Green Card may have become current.
What do CD's think ?

Hmmmmmm really .. All the readers know very well how you were fired from last jobs being on net for ALL DAY LONG . You seem to forgot that you were asking for help on board to show you some pointers . !!!
Short memory ..Huh

1. Had always wanted to be with parents (India or Canada).
2. Too much racism and poor job oppertunities/ low salary for people not in IT field.
Just for the record, I resigned first to go back to India and the very next day I got a job in Saudi. Even after 3 months, the visa process was still going on and in the meantime I got a job offer from India and took it.
Peace
