Hello Everyone,
My daughter got selected in Advanced Placement and Sci-Tech programs in Brampton. Please suggest which one is better in the long run.
Thanks in advance!

Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science are my preference. To explain further,
If Chemistry is the subject of their choice, there are very good chances of entering into Pharmacology and Industries associated with Plastics etc.,
Biology could easily lead into the DNA field and it is way up in the forefront and that will be the career of the future.
Computer Science is leading currently and knowing about cloud computing and BIG Data etc., are just getting started. The next will be the Terabit Internet services, speed that no one knows currently. But it is in the making already.
Then comes the Nano filament Carbon Fiber Batteries. It could fit anywhere, primarily into the chemistry field, But will enter into service in the computer fields.
For a lazy guy like me, it will be the Advanced Music classes. The industry is way advanced, that they are making music without any instruments now. What comes next?!
Also one song is all that you need. Then you are a sensation. And it could happen in the next two years, long before you complete the schooling.
Only a few of schools have teachers who have been trained for these APs. Those are the schools that get good recognition. You don't need AP, just keep up A's and high scores. Lead a normal kids life and enjoy.
And what is your choice, let us know too.
FH.

Generally the kids who opted for Sci-Tech in middle school were opting for IB in high school and if the kids gone for normal programs in middle school opted for Sci-Tech in high school.
Immeterial of which ever program they choose, the grades makes the difference while going to the university.
