First of all i would like to thank this site and this discussion group to make me aware of the ground realities and challenges i will face when i migrate.
If i would have landed in Canada without inputs from this group it would have been a heartbreak, disappointment and frustration.
Now to my question:
Is it a good idea to do a MBA and then look for a job. Will a Canadian MBA help me get a better and high paying jobs. Whats the ground situation there for jobs for people who although have not worked in canada have done MBA there from a decent college.
Right now i am not worried about surviving when i land, but more about how to grow optimally....

I believe you can find required details at this site http://jobfutures.ca/en/about.shtml . By now you must have surveyed NOC of your profession and if you plan to study MBA from Canada, what job market or NOC you want to go for work. They have present stastics and future of the career you choose to work in Canada.
There are other options available too in business management, community college offers post diploma / post graduation program which are less expensive.

Yes, if you can afford it. It goes without saying that getting additional qualifications from Canada will certainly improve your chances of getting a job. It is also dependent on the institute that you go to. If you can get an MBA from Richard Ivey School of Business, you will get picked up from campus with a +75K job rightaway. The same may not be true for other places.

So based on experience what are the universitites which have almost 100% placement record. Can i assume top 5/top 10/ top 20 ranked canadian mba schools to have a almost 100% placement record.
So should i look at top5 or top 10 or top 20

What are you trying to get at? You asked whether getting more education will help you het a better job. The answer was, yes it will definitely improve your chances of getting a job. That's all! Now you are looking for institutes with 100% placement rates! It seems you are looking for some sort of guarantees. Please realize there are no guarantees about anything. Even if you graduate from Harvard or Yale, it is not "guaranteed" that you will get what you want. You can only improve your chances.

I don't want to discourage you but.. getting in the top 5 institutes may sometime prove more difficult than getting a Job..
they look for a lot of credntials.. including.. good grades in your bachelor's degree.. great references.. a high score in GMAT.. good (voluntiary) work experience.. They have a strict interview and they can pop any question in that.. something as ridiculus as
"What is Lisa's teacher's name in The Simpsons?"
And yes.. the fees are really high.. and you may not be eligible for OSAP until next year..
