If already a Canadian citizen try contacting shorewise consulting ... a CD member is perhaps a Principal there who might help shop to the US as to what you have stated .

However in the Canadian market (being much smaller in size) , not sure I have heard of any such options except may be one which I had forgotten till you brought this up. Let me check with the person who shared it and I will share it across.

For any one starting afresh in IT and having an analytical back ground , I would recommend a Data Scientist role which would grow as time goes by ...
