Hi,
I injured my left knee and I have my left leg plastered for next 3 weeks as from today (8th July 2004). I have to land before 27th July 2004. What can be the aprox.cost of removal of the plaster ? Without OHIP, can I get other type of assistance?

There is one Doctor called Charles Lu & associates in missisauga and he gives treatment without OHIP card but you will have to pay @ 60 dollars as an deposit till u get your OHIP card after you Get OHIP card it will be returned to you.

I guess he is in MALTON medical centre on derry road.

With the feed back what I received on this great forum I was able to contact the local Community health centre. Local Community Health centres are funded by the federal government to assist the new Immigrant and people who are with OHIP.

Doctors consultation, test, and all other medical assistance and care are all taken care via the Federal Government through these Community heath centre. There is very normally fees between $ 450-700 for per day, should anyone require any Hospitalization.

Should anyone be in the same situation I suggest to contact community health centre
