Hi,
As an immigrant if I want to travel to US for an interview.
What is the procedure, do I need some documents or can simply go and apply for a tourist VISA.

All the best. (If you're a landed immigrant with South Asian passport you would need to get a visa. An interview with the visa officer is requi9red. Current waiting time is approx. 6 weeks).

All landed immigrants are subject to personal interview post 9/11 for the grant of VISA.
However could somebody tell the Success Rate in geting the US Business visa Issued from Consul General ?
Any practical experience would be of great help.

Not sure if you are still looking for this info. Odd that nobody has provided some info here - there are long queues of Indians outside the US consulate in Toronto every morning, so there's certainly a lot of people that know that process.
Getting a US visit visa is not an issue as long as you can show that you are permanently employed here in Canada. Stress things like the residency requirement to maintain your status and the fact that you will get citizenship upon the completion of three years of residence and you should be ok.
