Dear friends,
Is it true that I require only my PR cards, passport, and tickets to travel to Canada from Saudi. I don't need any visa or any other document for that matter. Thanks
Hasni,
If it is not the first time, yes. that is all what you require.
Your PR card (maple card) is your visa to board any Canada bound flight. The airline will check it before allowing you to board. Your Pak. passport with Saudi exit visa is required for you to leave Saudi.
If you are visiting the first time, then you need proof of settlement money / settlement money itself.
Hope you are aware that for joining your children in school, you will need imminization certificate as well as lease agreement for apartment rent. You can only admit your ward in the school alotted to the area that you live in.

Dear TK, thank you so much, yes yes I am aware of all this but since travelling first time with PR cards so just wanted to confirm if this is all what I need. Honestly appreciate the way you guide and help. God bless sir
Yes that's all you need. and proof of funds if you are coming for the first time.
Also if you are going to bring any valuable with you now or later ( goods to follow ) make sure you fill the appropriate forms to prevent any duty or taxes later on.
Usually the first time you land is the only chance to bring most of the stuff without any duties or taxes. They normally don't , but can harass you later for duties and taxes if you try to bring other stuff in.
So decide beforehand what personal belongings you are bringing or not bringing especially valuables like electronics, jewelry etc
Wonder how a person coming for the first time (if the case is, as per TK and adamthorat) would have a PR card? I did not know that once your PR application is approved you also get the PR card. Has the process changed?

SS - long time really!!! I really miss our discussions and get togethers!! Are you still at the same place (home and organization)?
Please look at flow in this thread:
Hasni: Is it true that I require only my PR cards, passport, and tickets to travel to Canada from Saudi. (This clearly means he has landed earlier and has a PR card)
TK: If you are visiting the first time, then you need proof of settlement money / settlement money itself.
Adamthorat: and proof of funds if you are coming for the first time.
So these other two persons' responses made me raise a question - how would a person coming for first time already have a PR card? Anything wrong in my question???
