The Canadian Desi Vancouver Chapter meeting was held on July 18th at Bear Creek Park in Surrey. It was expected to rain a little in the Forecast that day but we got full support from the Weather. It was a beautiful Sunny day. There were about 15 people who attended the Meeting. It was a great Introductory and networking Session and everyone was delighted to put faces with names as seen on the Canadian desi site.

Naeem ,Puneet and Massood were very supporting and shared their Ideas and efforts on supporting Canadian immigrants in settling down in Canada. Naeem has also got Complimentary copies of the new edition of the "Canadian Immigrant" Newspaper to distribute among the Members .

It was also very delightful to meet the new immigrants (Shashank and Farah ) from India who landed just 15 days ago and their experiences and feelings as they landed in Canada and stepped into starting a New life.

Puneet (smiley) and Nidhi also shared their ideas and views on IT professionals struggles and successes in Canada and how to make things work despite problems as they exist for new Immigrants.

Massood as always had great Advice from the Immigration point of view and shared his experiences with Immigrants and their experiences with CIC.

Also present were some new prospective CD members from Dubai who had landed before and were contemplating to move to Canada in short term .

Overall , This was a great Success and we had wished for more CD members to participate and be present to make the discussion more lively and interesting.

Finally , I would like to Thank everyone for their support and for being present in the canadian desi meeting and adding great value to it.

It is good to see a success of a CanadianDesi meeting other than Toronto.

I do see quite a good number of members from Ottawa and Calgary. What do you do guys? Any plans for meeting there?
