Although, I have yet to call up Chandresh and let him know, I would be going for the meeting. If anyone would like a ride then please let me know. I can pick you guys up at Finch subway at say 1:45. My minivan can take up to 6 passengers.

Hi Chandresh
I think ur calling of a meeting and forming a group is a very good idea. I would like to attend the meeting and will definately be there. I have noted ur address and phone no. My phone no. is 416-439-2886. Please confirm.

I too wish to join this meeting. Please inform me the venue of the meeting so that we can attend the same.
Hi guys (surprisingly no gals till now on this meeting idea!!!)
You might call me old fashioned, but I have always believed in dressing up rightly for the occassion. Like it was Kurta Pyjama for the first two CD General meetings, Shorts and T-Shirt for the Picnic, casual smart for the two pot luck dinners of CD members, casual for the various meetings we have had to plan out bigger events and future of CD.com, etc.
Similarly what would you say if I suggested that for this meeting of professionals, we dress up formal - just like we would for a Rotary/Lions meetings for a specific purpose.
No hard and fast rules, but I think dressing up (or down) makes a lot of effect on the atmosphere we want to create in a meeting. And though it is an extended family meeting (the family of Canadiandesi), it is for all practical purposes, a serious meeting of Finance & Accounting Professionals. So my suggestion would be - let's dress formal to create the effect.

Love your suggestion about dressing up but..... I haven't put on a suit and tie for God knows how long. That's because in our office as do most of MNC's (except for Financial Services) it's casual wear but no jeans/shorts. Wearing a suit on a hot summer day can be stifling and uncomfortable...I have quite a few uncomfortable experience while going through subways/buses of London (UK). Also, it's a Saturday. To sum up, can we drop this idea please.
Thanks
Daks
I agree with Daks. Personally I feel more comfortable in 'comfortable' dress. But if Chandresh and others feel that formal dress would be the thing then so be it. We should comply.
