i sponsored my husband and he recieved a letter from the embassy in india asking him for his passport and photos and they said theyll let him know in 3 months what does this mean. is there any problem thats why they need 3 months. and he hasnt had an interview.

Does not mean trouble. Probably they are going to issue visa and that will easily take 3 months. add 2 more months if they call him for interview.
