To bring someone to Canada you must submit a sponsorship application form at a Canadian Immigration office nearest you. With regards to your first question; your Canadian fiance is eligible to sponsor you to come to Canada. If Canadian Immigration deems her financial and economic stability to be weak, then there is a chance for rejection. Canadian Immigration will also consider your capacity to obtain work upon migration to Canada. If your qualifications are lacking than there is also a chance for rejection. With regards to your second question; the time it takes to obtain a spousal visa varies from case to case depending on the complexity and availability of necessary documents. It also depends on the current back log of Canadian Immigration. If they have a large number of visa applications to process, than they may take a while to process your visa.


8. I would like to ask about sponsoring my brother. I have a full time job and how can I sponsor my brother. I am single family member in Canada. All of my family is in India. Is it possible for me to sponsor my brother without sponsoring my parents because they are not interested to come to Canada?
Canadian Immigration does allow you to sponsor your family but the definition of "family" only includes your parents (and their children if under 18 years of age), and your spouse. It does NOT include brothers and sisters. This means that if your brother is under 18 years of age, you can bring him to Canada by sponsoring your parents. If your brother is over 18 years of age, you can not sponsor him. He must apply for immigration on his own merit based on things such as academics.

I am a Canadian landed (immigrant) and wish to sponsor my fiance in India is it easier or the same if we get married in India and then I sponsor her? in other words, is it any different if I sponsor my fiancee versus sponsoring my wife? i do know that if i sponsor a fiancee, we must get married within 90days or she must return But i am unsure in terms of processing time or application approval chances-are these two different for fiancee and wife?
If you were to sponsor your wife, the processing/approval time would be much less than if you were to sponsor your fiancee. Canadian Immigration would process everything faster since she is already your wife.

Canada Immigration should approve a visa for your fiance since you are stable economically within Canada. You must apply for a visa from Canada Immigration on behalf of your fiance. If you are considering marrying a Canadian girl you should keep records of all your meetings prior to your marriage. This will serve as evidence to Immigration Canada, that you and your wife are seriously married. You should get married first before you get your wife to apply for sponsorship to avoid undue hassles.
