Hi there,

I filed for my parents application , its been 3 months and I have NOT even received the "Acceptance Letter" from Missisuga yet. My lawyer says, its in process. It is Aug, 2003 the fourth month going on.

My question:-

1. How long does it take to get the acceptance letter?

2. Once the Acceptance letter comes, I am filing their paper work from New Delhi, India? How long will it take to get their medical done?

3. During this period ie; in November, I am planning to leave my job and travel outside canada for almost six months. I am going to USA?
Will this effect my parents application?

4. I will be back in canada after 6 months, take up a job stay for few months and then go back to USA again? Will this travelling effect my parents application ?

5. Can I travel back and forth to Canada and USA like this, will the Canadian Immigration object to my travelling?

I already have PR card and have stayed in Canada for 1 year 7 months.

Your move to USA shouldn't affect your case. Acceptance/acknowledgement takes anywhere from 3-5 months. Your lawyer should be able to answer those questions, patiently.
