Any good web site for driving directions in canada apart from mapquest.ca, at times this does not generate good results.
MapQuest, in general, gives pretty accurate directions.
However, the issue with MapQuest is that their database of Canadian address is not up-to-date.
Yahoo has a more updated address database.
Try:
http://ca.maps.yahoo.com/dd
However, Yahoo's directions are not as good as Mapquest, at least for Canadian addresses.
Yahoo takes you round and round the same area - Mapquest gives the shortest and the easiest route.
If you need the best possible mapping software and don't mind paying for it, then go for Microsoft MapPoint.
It is *the* most comprehensive map source for the entire North America.
We used to drive a lot in the US and I always carried my laptop with MapPoint installed on it.
The only catch with it will be that you have to keep upgrading the software whenever Microsoft comes out with a newer version.
Or you can simply buy a map book at Wal*Mart and figure out the directions yourself

try, 411.ca it tells you both free express way and the city road route. Scroll down the screen where you are asked to put address and select short route instead of fast route to get city road route. People not comfortable driving on express way can take city route to reach destination.
