What is the process to be followed to convert a Post grad work permit to Work permit?
I work as a Web designer and my company has agreed to get my permit converted.How do I proceed?
My visa expires in april.When should I apply for tranfer?
What happens if i do not have my job after getting the work permit?As in status.

You cannot convert your status per se. You can apply for work permit with the new job offer. You'll have to go through HRSDC first.

Legally, if you have a work permit and no longer working, you should inform CIC and look for another employer and apply again.
