Dear Mr. Massood,

CIC website only gives the address of CPC vegerville for processing post grad work permits and gives an estimated processing time of 45 days.

I graduated in Dec 2004 and have found employment. However, my employer needs me to start within a week.

1) Is it possible for me t o apply for my post grad work permit at a local CIC office which can process it faster?

2) If yes, can you please advise which CIC offices have the authority to do it in Ontario.

Hi Neha,

you would be able to get work permit on same day by paying $150 cash at this office

Immigration Office - Toronto North
55 St. Clair Ave. E., Suite 700
Toronto, ON M4T 1M2

but you have to prove to immigration officer that the job offer you have is related to studies you have done 2) you completed your studies within last 90 days from a community college/university 3) that you would loose this job offer if you are not able to start asap. (so it's better to get a letter from your future employer stating this that you would loose this job offer if you are not able to start on specfic date )

I did that around 1.5 yrs ago and recently I told one of my friend and he was able to get work permit.
