Time taken to sponsor spouse

Hi all,
Can anybody tell be current time period taken by New delhi, Canadian High Commission in sponsored spouse case.

Hi There!

It will take 3-4 months to get your spouse here in Canada after applying to CPC Mississuga .

i applied in july 04 and it took my wife almost 6 months to get the visa . . some times its much quicker.u've got have a lot of patience....

hi there
i have just sponsered my wife from Calgary. is it true that if you sponser from Calgary,it will take less time than Toronto or somewhere else ?

I am a P.R. in Canada for 3 years.
Can Someone please advise me about the following:

1. Where can I find the procedure and forms for spouse immigration.
2. Can I apply for the same in Mumbai.
3. What is the average lead time ?
4. What doccuments do I need to take along concerning the immigration when I go to India.

Your help is much appreciated.

IMO: You can apply to sponsor your spouse from within Canada only. If you are in Mumbai, then you may apply for a visit visa or a temporary resident permit for your spouse to enter Canada and then sponsor her from within Canada.

and call the CIC on 1 888 242-2100 for authoritative answers to all your questions.
