Hi,
I am moving to Windsor, Canada as PR from Detroit, USA. I work in Detroit on H1B1 visa and would continue to work in USA on H1B1 visa and I am planning to daily commute.
I had two major concerns:
1. Can I come to USA in the evening or weekend on my H1B1 visa through Windsor-Detroit tunnel?
2. Can my wife come with me in USA on her H4 visa or her visa status will not be valid as I am not living in USA?
Thanks,
Anurag
For your first question - there are many people doing so.

Hello Anurag,
I am in a similar situation. After landing in Windsor/Canada(2 years ago) I came back to US and stayed/worked here(Detroit). Now I am planning to go back to Canada.
I belive you must have moved to Windsor by now? How is the commute thru the tunnel. Can you share your experience about how to plan the whole thing. What documents to carry? What are the dos & donts. You can email me if you like.
The important thing is you keep canadian license car if you live in windsor
What is great about keeping cdn license car ?

The gr8 thing is if you keep Canadian licence car and sleep in your Windsor address Canadian residency will be counted
