Keep Canadian PR Status

I work in USA on H1B. How can I continue my work when I keep my PR status in Canada? I heard people commute from Windsor,ON to Detroit when they work on H1B visa and keep PR status. I am little far from Detroit and plan to go to Canada once in a week (Friday night to Sunday) when I keep a rented apt in Windsor and also one in USA. If I stay like this, will all my days be counted toward my citizenship application? Do they keep track of entry/exit when I drive from Detroit to Windsor?
Any information about it, please let me know.Thanks.

Only days that you spend in Canada will be counted towards your citizenship.

CIC does not keep track yet ... but you never know. We live in a slightly different immigration world now...
