I have to pick up someone from the Airport and they have 9 months old baby. I do not have any car seat. My questions is,

* Can it available at airport on Rent ?.
* Do the taxi driver carry CAR Seat?
* What kind of Car seat i should buy for 9 month old and 8 Kg weight ?

One month ago my wife was travelling with our 2 month old baby from Toronto to London via British Airways. As I don't have a vehicle as yet my friend dropped us in his vehicle and he left. For our bad luck after checking in and after around 11.30 P.M, BA said Flight is cancelled.

BA tried to get us a taxi with the baby car seat, so did I but couldn't get one. Eventually BA gave us the hotel accommodation for that night and next day early morning I had to spend my own money, take a taxi, go to wallmart, buy the babycarseat ...etc..etc...............

Moral You have to have a car seat.

From the airport authority : Dont think so.. .
You could always rent a car at the airport, and they should have a car seat. But better call in advance to reserve it.

I think, Most drivers dont carry it.
I think if u call in advance ( http://www.ontario.worldweb.com/Transportation/Taxis/ )
and request for it, they may reserve a taxi (with the seat) especially for u . Call a couple of numbers to find out

BTW, Dont u have a friend who has a child ? Or whose kids have grown up?

I travelled with my baby in Taxi from Airport. I believe there is exemption available to taxi or if you are visiting from outside the city as a guest.

Call a taxi service, they will help you

If you are renting a car for pickup, all Car rent companies give car seat on rent, I believe it is $8 to $15 each day.

or buy a car seat from Walmart, Sears, Bay. Toyrus the 8Kg baby requires a reverse facing car seat, it will cost around $25 to $150 depending on your choice
