I have tried searching the site but could not find the answer I was looking for.

Please let me know what is the total family income requirement, if there is any, for some one who wants to invite his/her mother aged 70 plus as a visitor to Canada.

I have done this in the past before my mom became a PR.

I sent in the invitation letter stating where I work and how much I make per annum. I assumed responsibility for boarding, food and any other expenses incl tickets. I attached proof of employment and latest bank statement.

Same thing when my sister visited. Both got it the same day.

My mother took along with her to the consulate the Papaers for our house and her latest bank stamenet.

So i am not sure there is a minimum requirement, but one should be able to support them while they are here.
