Hi Everyone,

I am very elated and like to share this happiness of mine with everyone. I am moving to Toronto in about two weeks time. May I take this opportunity to thank everyone for continuing to share their views on this forum.

Although I will be landing in Toronto, I am not averse to moving to another city even if it is a small/medium sized city provided employment becomes available there. What I would like to know is are work opportunities from other Cities advertised in Toronto dailies?
Do employers from other cities recruit in Toronto?
How does one access opportunities available in other cities while being in Toronto?

Any suggestion /views are greatly appreciated.

select the towns/cities you are interested in and if any opening available....you can see the same....just narrow down the search with all possible options....

all the best

Hi Reachash,

Appreciate your response. I understand that opportunities from around Canada are advertised on Workopolis; but are these advertisements for recruiting locally or are they open to recruiting from elsewhere also? (Ofcourse except for advertisements which indicate relocation is possible or they plan to conduct interviews in a number of cities)

Please forgive my ignorance but probably I will know better after I arrive.

Hi 1Gujju,

There is no harm in asking. Your answer lies in your own post. All the best to you when you do arrive in Canada. Mostly the employers would prefer that candidate lived in Canada, even the same city (not a thumb rule). But as I said, no harm in asking or even trying. Even if you are not in Canada, just try and apply for a position that is of interest to you.

All the best again.
