Hi!
I've heard that sometimes you have to wait in a que for hours for the laundry.
Please give me clear idea about the laundry sytem over there.
NO.
In capitalist countried you get what you pay for....you do not have to wait at all because you are paying for it.

This posting is directed to Anjana.
Anjana, you have been enquiring about various things in different discussions - some totally unrelated like this one. It would do you a lot good if you framed your questions in one post of your own and then expect related replies.
Also, while asking questions, it is always good to give an idea of your own lifestyle and background - it would help you a lot in getting reasonable and meaningful answers. I had sent a 3 1/2 page list of questions to my friend in Canada before migrating. So to get replies more suitable for your personal situation (since everyone has different background and life experiences and expectations), explain what is your own requirement and expectation. By migrating from the UAE, many of the anwers you are getting from people who migrated directly from India might be irrelevant to your case.
In case you want, you can send a mail to me directly at - I might have very similar background as yours - having lived an expatriate's life and that too in 4 different countries before migrating to Canada.
However, let me tell you one thing very crudely - I know tons of people who have migrated to Canada from UAE - they are the most frustrated guys in Canada for very obvious reasons!! and most of them return to UAE as soon as they are able to get their citizenship. It is not a universal statement, but my personal experience!

Hi all,
I got the answer my self.
it is about $500 without home rent.
The $500 includes eating at restaurents and in the maket place, calling india, applying for the driving licence, phocopying and various miscellaneous one time expences on bateries, staionary diaries etc etc..
But life here is realy fast as compared to India, but the Efficeny is low.
