I was surprised to know this. as I meet all of Indians or immigrants who are either doing odd job or is on EI & has already forgotten what qualification they held in India.

'Canadians' might be rich too but these people might have their 2-3 generations working or developing their business here. Let me tell you frankly, we are just happy here for the opportunity to be here for living among some different people, driving in nice vehicle & on clean & wide roads. If you want to be happy with that, u'll be the luckiest. Other than this I don't think there is really anything great about being here.

This country is running on 'immigration' business. we are running walmart, no frills...! if we wouldn't be here, 70% of 'walmart' stores won't even open.

The person who has quoted here that India has problem with population, has not thought over the fact that being populated & having so many different kinds of people & languages, the country is still keeping its greatness.
Actually you should be proud of being a part of that great nation.

This PMA must be a joker or else thinks all " Canadian desis" are idiot!. First ,would somebody explain me having land resources and water in abundance and "pride" are related? This is nature's gift and I fail to see any point in being happy or proud about this.
To me it seems that this PMA guy is instigating us by publishing such stupid news.

Thanks

To feel pride and happy you need not PAY any thing. Just feel proud and happy. Else you can feel very sad also. Coice is yours. It's your Life.

BTW, could you please explain why it is a stupid news?

PMA.

Hey PMA

Quote
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is to all CD's who are thinking negatively about Canada.

KNOW SOME TRUE FACTS ABOUT CANADA and FEEL PROUD TO BE A CANADIAN.

1. Canada: Land and Resources

Canada, federated country in North America, made up of ten provinces and three territories.

Canada has more lakes and inland waters than any other country.

"On a PER-CAPITA BASIS, its resource endowments are the second richest in the world after Australia."
================================================

Now will somebody enlighten me how CDs are supposed to be "proud" about land and water resources? Did Canadians got this due to their efforts? No. They stole it from Natives! Well PMA may be proud but I still do not see anything to be" proud". This PMA is really a "white washed" guy.

and please do not talk about my "frustration". Any CD with a little brain would and should be frustrated as due to discrimination , they do not stand any chance to get a good position.

Further half the Canada is inhabitable! Has this PMA ever tried to buy a house in Toronto? What to do with all the land when you even can not afford to own a tiny piece?

I do not see any "Value" or additional info in the quote of yours. The facts quoted by you are no "NEWS". Everybody knows that and hence I dubbed it as STUPID.

When I read the heading "Canada Second Richest" I thought Canada is second richest in per capita income. It is true Canada is second richest in land and resources. Does it help you to get a decent job? Does unused waste land and unused water resources give you any advantage on individual basis?

These all are just statistics and good for nothing until you tap the resources and make use of it. Even though the potentials are there, it does not improve anyone life with mere statistics and hence you do not need to be proud of anything.

I am not sure why people are confused when they come here.
Simple if someone like india, indian culture, indian agriculture, indian horticulture then stay there. Why immigrate to western world?

Or if you like here(US/Canada) then stay here and do Romans do in Rome.

But always staying hereand saying india is great and this country is bad or people are stupid here or always appreciate india. This looks weird to me.

Very well said, be happy in what you have, either accept what you have or change it, don't complain.

Hi Dips

"Phobia is different from Facts. "

India has already crossed 110 crores and you can see competition eveywhere.

Population is big problem for development in India and it is same in future also.

PMA.

You seem to be having terrific phobia with population?

You are trying to see the standard of living of the country / per capita income as a whole and not from your personal point as what would be your status in this country compared to that in India.

Due to immigration, population in Canada will not be a problem but unemployment is definately gonna be a huge problem & the living standards that we are fascinated by are nomore gonna be there.
