Hi Everyone!
It feels so nice that I accidentally browsed this site because I learned a lot from all your testimonies (both positive and otherwise). By the way, I am non-Indian (i just thought that having \"indian girl\" as my pseudo name would be cute ). It's just great that i get inspired by you all. I have read a lot of the messages posted here and I can conclude one thing: the big difference between indians and other nationalities is, indians are proud of their country! I don't think that a lot of people (non-indians) are proud of where they are from. I have read all those messages that are so proud that India will soon be better than Canada in some ways. I truly admire your optimism.
But I have one piece of advice for all of those who think that going to Canada is not worthwhile, those who are regretting their migration, those who are doubting whether to go to Canada or not:
Life is all about taking risks. Certainly, no one knows what's in store for us in the future. God did not give us the ability to predict our future because He wants to give us the chance to learn from our journey. Surely life has many crooked roads but if we have a strong will to pursue our goal, these roads will surely lead us to where we want to go. Just be patient and let us not waste our precious life by just moping around and complaining about the negative things that come our way.
No matter what the circumstances are, I think that it's just a matter of having a positive attitude before we can realize that after all, there is no right or wrong decision. There is just a good or bad disposition.
I am not an all-knowing person. I just feel that if I help other people to be strong, I am helping myself a hundred times! I must admit that for some times, I have doubts of going to Canada. But those moments are over. Now I always think that it is always better to go there and see how life will be than stay in my country and always wander about the life there. I hate to fill my life with \"what ifs\".
Hope this helps. Kudos to all indians in the world! If there is one culture in the world that I truly admire, it's the Indian culture!
Hope to see you all there soon! Seize every day and thank God for every opportunity that comes our way!
Indian Girl
Hi Indian Girl,
It is good to know a Filipino girl having pseudo name as Indian Girl!
Yes you have to take risk. It is true that the immigrants are the most successful people everywhere. While ago I read a news that in United States Indians owns costliest houses!! Interestingly this is just second or first generation of Indians in North America.
Loving India is not a bad thing - one should proud of his/her own country. Having said that your work place, as per Gita (Lord Krishna) Your Karma Bhumi is more important than anything else.
We all are Canadians here but discussing issues related with Canada from an immigrants point of view. It has Indian point of view included as most of the people here are from that origin.
We welcome your thoughts as a non-indian. It will definitely add color to this board.
