Hi all,

Can I apply for SIN number from Niagara Falls HRDC office, while giving the Toronto address for mailing and permanent address? Will the office accept such application?

Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I believe you can apply to any HRSDC office because I had applied for SIN at Toronto office and provided mississauga address.

Is SIN number mandatory to count the immigration status for citizenship?

Can I apply SIN after a few weeks of landing, is that going to affect for citizenship?

The SIN is issued by HRDC and the Citizenship is the responsibility of Citizenship Canada. AFAIK, the two are not connected. To answer your Q, you can apply for the SIN a few weeks after landing. Out of curiosity, why do you want to wait.
