When you land in canada and decide on the accomodation, have a look around. You will find a place to get your curtains stiched.

Hi everyone,

We (family of 4) too will be moving from Sharjah (UAE) to Vancouver mid Aug (2005) and plan on bringing curtains along to save on curtan costs. Will appreciate information on curtain installation system in Vancouver. Here we have 3-point hooks that are used on the curtains that get hooked on to the hanging slots on the metal rod that is fixed above the window.

If i've understood you correctly this can be installed in any country you can find a wall

Blinds could be a better option.
I installed some curtains in my prev apartment because they didnt provide blinds. YOu have to buy the proper handging rods, screws and do it properly.

My current apartment has blinds.

I just stumbled across this thread.
Made me think about my days in India.
Had co-ordinated curtains everywhere in the house.
During my stay in the USA and my current stay in vancouver, I am wondering why I never thought about curtains so far? (though I have blinds in the apartment, I would love to have the curtains too.
Am I engrossed in other things such as husband's job, son's college,what I am going to do, etc?
Am I missing that other than survival,there are fine things in life?
