Hello ,
Could someone please suggest me in the following matter, as to How can one maintain his/her Permanent Residence in Canada after he completes his 2 out of 5 yrs from the date that he became Permanent Resident :-
The following are the details :-
On 19h Feb 2002 I became a Permanent Resident of Canada.
Then on 31 Dec 2002 left Canada for 1 day. TO USA = 1day
Then in 2003 left canada for 1 week. TO USA = 7 days
Then In March 2004 left for Canada for 2 weeks. TO INDIA = 14 days
Then on June 8th until Nove 15th left Canada for USA AGAIN. = 5 mths / 120 days
Now, I am in CANADA for 2 weeks only.
AND
Plan to leave CANADA again for 3 mths to USA. = 60 days
So my question is that I have already completed 2 years out of 5 years since the day I became PR in CANADA.
And then I have been travelling outside Canada for NOT MORE THAN 5 MONTHS.
Am I safe ?
Also not that I have my residential ties in Canada in following ways.:-
1.> I am a regular TAX payee in Canada from the date I became PR.
2.> Have a valid drivers licence and holding credit cards and Alberta Card Insurance .
3.>Have my family living here, my brother and his wife.
Please advice.
Thanks in advance and regards.
